Our current favorite closed headphones, the Beyerdynamic DT 831 provide great sound and comfort while keeping your tunes in your ears and away from others. They produce a bright, detailed musical illustration, without the "boomy" sound common to sealed headphones. They are also extremely comfortable. They are happiest at home or hooked up with an amp.

Pros: Great sound, great comfort

Cons: power hungry, not portable

The Bottom Line: The best closed headphones i've ever listened to. If you don't need portability, and want to block noise, go for it!

Quality problems

Pros: Good distinct bass.

Cons: A bit uncomfortable, ears get too warm after an hour or so. Quality problems.

The Bottom Line: Don't buy them. They don't last long.
