Epinions Link's Awakening: A Sleeper Hit for the Original Gameboy

by  kjell1979, top reviewer in Games ,  Feb 19, 2004
Pros: decent graphics, classic Zelda gameplay
Cons: perhaps a little too easy, switching items
The Bottom Line: This game makes my top 10 favorite gameboy games ever.
Review: Thank You Nintendo For Backwards Compatibility! First and foremost I must thank the Nintendo, specifically the design engineers for making the Gameboy Advance compatible with all the older Gameboy games. Without it, I might have had to choose ...

Epinions Zelda's absent, but everything else is here

by  32_Footsteps, lead in Games ,  Feb 2, 2000
Pros: Strong Zelda game, great graphics, best execution of the concept to date
Cons: Outside of the traditional Zelda storyline
Review: Perhaps the greatest series in the history of video gaming is The Legend of Zelda. While the Mario games have been light fare, and most other franchaises have either been consistently good or alternate between amazing and horrible, Zelda has always...

Pros: Excellent graphics, Storyline, Abundance of Levels
Cons: Black and White (gameboy colour better)
Review: The storyline of Zelda continues onto the N64 and Gameboy and fans of the original Legend of Zelda are excited to see the game back in a new story and on different systems. Anyone who has completed or played any of the Zelda games will want to...

Epinions Game Boy Games: The Legend of Zelda - Link's Awakening.

by  Mr_D,  May 18, 2004
Pros: Classic Zelda gameplay, one of the best Game Boy games ever.
Cons: Item switching a little annoying, a couple tough to acquire secrets.
The Bottom Line: If you are a Zelda fan, a fan of action/RPG's, or just into great games, then you'll want to pick this game up.
Review: Quick Facts: The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening – for Game Boy Color. (Also will work on Gameboy and Game Boy Advance). About $10 at the time of this writing, 1 player. Released by Nintendo in 1993, rated E for everyone. ...

Epinions Legend of Zelda: It's about time, Nintendo.

by  Jello77,  Nov 24, 2000
Pros: Everything
Cons: Just about nothing, except that it might be a little hard.
Review: NOTE: This is an edited opinion. My original opinion was one of my first, and going back to look at it, I could summerize it in two words: it sucked. So I've givin it a MAJOR facelift (four pages worth of facelift), and this one, needless to say,...

by  tommy_lop,  Feb 15, 2001
Pros: cool colorisation, it's zelda enough said
Cons: if you don't have a GBC stick with the orignal. can be frustrating
The Bottom Line: Zelda DX is probably the best non-Pokemon game for the Game boy.
Review: I bought my GB pocket for the original Zelda link's awaking. When I updated to the GBC; I manage to lose my original link's awaking game. I decided that I should update to the DX version. This was the first game boy game I played with the game boy...

Pros: graphics,and gameplay
Cons: none big enough to mention.
Review: First of all to anyone who reads this, this is my re-written version. I did not delete it because of the quality but Epinions messed up and no one could go into it. Now that I have said that here is my opinion.

Epinions An underrated masterpiece--Link's Awakening

by  zackeriah,  Jul 13, 2000
Pros: High fun factor, addicting game play, excellent music.
Cons: None.
Review: As a gamer, I've found that console and PC games almost always offer the best gaming experiences for your buck. Even though I was a huge Zelda fan when The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening was released back in 1993, I was less than excited. Game Boy has...

The Bottom Line: Worth hunting down a copy Great game.
Review: I only got this game recently so I have not had time to finish it. But I have found it very enjoyable and definately worth the 10 dollars I paid for it used at Gamestop. It works great on my Gameboy Advance SP. Using the upper right and left buttons you ...
